Solution-oriented therapy is based on the principle that everyone has strengths and abilities to cope with difficulties and other challenges in life. This is a proven form of therapy with influences from system therapy and cognitive behavioural therapy.
Therapist Bart Haerens constantly immerses himself through experience, training, peer review, supervision and self-study in system and cognitive thinking, contextual thinking, cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, ACT (Acceptance and Commitment therapy) and so on.
Examples of themes for which you can turn to Bart are depression, fear or phobia, autism (ASD), grieving and loss experiences, trauma, difficult home situation, burnout, attachment problems, psychosis, problems with gender or sexuality, suicidal thoughts, addiction, self-injury and LGBT-related questions.
Sometimes it is difficult or not helpful to verbalize your difficulties in life. Then we look for creative non-verbal methods that can help you. Our goal is to work out a customized therapy process together.
In the first session, the therapist will invite you to talk about the reason(s) that you are visiting Oopful and the therapist will then discuss with you how the sessions can be meaningful and supportive for you. If necessary, we would plan another follow-up interview.

Oopful offers a fitness coach that combine a systematic coaching process and personal training (or fitness instructions) to help you to develop a fit lifestyle, as well as the ability and self-confidence to maintain this lifestyle. This includes a level of regular physical activities - sufficient to increase physical, mental and emotional energy, manage weight and stress, prevent or treat health risks and medical conditions, and improve self-image and self-esteem.
